Our electronic discovery and litigation support services combine our expert technical knowledge, rigorous forensic approach, proven experience in legal processes and extensive toolset for collecting and processing a broad range of data for litigation and discovery.

Our skills and experience cover a wide range of electronic discovery and litigation support, from simple or complex data collection through to processing, searching, analysis, review and production, plus management and training.

How we can assist

Our experience ranges from conversion of a few documents to large and complex collection and processing involving many terabytes of data from across corporate networks.

Our electronic discovery and litigation support services include:

  • Forensic collection of electronically stored information from a wide range of devices and environments, both simple and complex
  • Case design, setup and data loading across sources or custodians
  • Filtering of metadata such as data types, timestamps and a wide range of internal and external metadata fields
  • Analysis of processing anomalies such as inaccessible and corrupt files
  • Recovery and reconstruction of deleted documents and email messages
  • Analysis of unknown data types and documents not containing searchable text
  • Identification of image files requiring optical character recognition
  • Checking consistency of key metadata fields, such as date and email address formats
  • Identifying metadata outliers, such as dates outside expected ranges and zero-byte files
  • Assessing levels of duplicates and effective approaches to de-duplication
  • Accessing encrypted or password protected documents
  • Identifying other data anomalies that may require cleansing or normalisation
  • Performing both simple and complex searches using a range of metadata fields and powerful search syntax
  • Legal export
  • Management and support of legal review, including training of legal reviewers
  • Liaising with internal and external parties including IT, legal counsel and outsourced providers.

Given the size and complexity of modern electronic discovery, we can also provide expert consulting to help you utilise electronic discovery more efficiently and strategically, such as:

  • Assessing the potential cost of electronic discovery
  • Reviewing approaches taken by other providers
  • Advising on the technical impact of selected discovery categories, criteria and keywords
  • Providing the technical basis for legal applications such as consent orders and security for cost applications.

Having provided electronic discovery services for many years, our team is also experienced in the legal processes involved and in dealing with the wide range of legal issues that can arise on such matters.

Most electronic discovery cases can be delivered using our multi-node in-house processing systems, however for matters that require exceptional processing power, we also partner with a leading provider of high scale hosted infrastructure to provide the necessary hardware capabilities for rapid data processing, searching and production.
